To assist the in all areas of asset disposals and databases whether a single asset, the contents of a small company or a complete plant.
Initial inspection of assets - Site work
Responsibility of being key holder to site, unlocking/locking and unalarming/alarming premises
travelling to sites (generally throughout the South England)
to include taking careful hand notes of each asset, make model, serial numbers etc , CE mark, damage, condition
noting supplies to machines, ie oil, gas, electric - single/three phase, hard wired. Removal method statement requirement
noting egress for removing assets
photographing
Liaising with third parties when necessary, Site and Office based work
portable appliance tester
computer data deletion agent
skip hire
Finance or leasing companies to remove their assets
Marketing - Office based:
Meeting with disposal director to decide best means of disposal (ie Auction, Tender, Online etc) time frame agreed, and budget for marketing costs
Drafting proposal to client for their approval and instruction (Word)
Drafting sales flyer (Word and Adobe PDF)
Drafting adverts (Word and Adobe PDF)
Drafting sales catalogue (Word and Adobe PDF)
Considering target audience and obtaining bespoke mailing lists accordingly from outside sources and in-house databases (Excel)
Considering publications for adverts, negotiating prices with publications, booking and placing adverts
Uploading sale details and photographs to inhouse IDS Auction software
Preparing and sending marketing emails to mailing lists obtained (Excel, Outlook)
Ensuring deadlines for mailings adhered to in accordance with the disposal proposal
Deciding with Director, guide figures, reserves for each lot and providing colleagues with completed catalogue with guide figures
Updating and cleaning databases,
Obtaining third party sale information as evidence for valuers
Preparing premises for public viewings - Site work
Ensuring site is safe and hazards identified by way of a risk assessment and actioning accordingly
Tidying rubbish and debris, often involves filling skips or using initiative to create area for debris and cordoning off
Lotting assets and all components thereof, attaching lot card or label to asset and applying other notices as appropriate (safe use undertakings,
removal method statements, failed pat test undertakings, not in sale)
Locating any manuals and keys for lots and lotting accordingly.
Securing smaller items either by way of moving all together to lockable room, covering with mesh or film as appropriate.
Upon completion site should be very presentable, safe for viewers and notices or lot card/label on every item in the building.
Overseeing viewing day- Site work
Deciding with DD staff requirement for viewing day and arranging accordingly with outside contractors
Ensuring catalogues available on site, visitors book, health and safety notices
greeting and booking visitors in and out at viewings
responsible for safety of personnel and security of assets on site
answering viewers queries
Completing Sales - Office based
Using IDS auction software
Dealing with any conditional bids
Negotiating with interested parties
Creating invoices
Contacting purchasers, via telephone, email, post
Arranging and taking card payments via telephone
Arranging collection appointments with the purchasers
Notifying the unsuccessful bidders
Creating revised catalogue and marketing for any unsold lots
Arranging receipt of removal method statements and signed undertakings from purchasers where necessary
Completing Sales - Site work
Meeting purchasers or their contractors to safely remove lots purchased
Ensuring removal method statements are adhered to where necessary
Receiving payments (cash and or bankers draft)
Ensuring only items bought and paid for are removed by correct party
Ensuring premises left safely and in orderly state
